Water Use in Georgia

The USGS compiles water-use data from numerous sources, most recently, in 2000, for all counties in Georgia. Data include estimates of the amount of public- and self-supplied water used for commercial, domestic, industrial, irrigation, livestock, mining, power generation, and other purposes. National data, compiled at 5-year intervals, is also available, and the water-use data collected and compiled in Georgia are an integral part of the nationwide assessment of water supply and demand.
